Charity Village Festival at our sister pub, The Stag on the River

Bank Holiday Monday 26th August

For a good cause
Their second annual Summer Festival at The Stag will be raising money and awareness for The Halow Project, a charity dedicated to creating opportunities and supporting young people aged 16-35 with a learning disability so that they are able to live independent, meaningful, fulfilled lives and become more involved in their local community.

What’s on?
They’ll be opening their doors at 12pm for a great day that the whole family can enjoy, with live music, a hog roast and BBQ, outside bar, face painting, duck race, reptile zoo and tug of war tournament.

Live Music
Music will begin at 1pm. The line will be available soon on their facebook page!

Hungry?
Food will be served all day outside and they’ll be offering a great choice from the BBQ along with the local hog roast, summer salads and a selection from their seasonal menu. Food will also be available all day inside the pub, including some of Head Chef Mark’s delicious seasonal specials.

Thirsty?
The inside bar will have its usual wide selection of local ales, lagers and wines, but they’ll also have a fantastic outside bar so you don’t have to drag yourself away from the music at all!

Reptile Zoo
For all those brave enough, you can go and explore the creepy world of reptiles in the miniature zoo, where you can hold, stroke and get to know some slimy, freaky creatures from around the world.

Duck Race
After the huge success of last year’s event, the duck race is back! All proceeds from each £2 duck goes to the Halow Project, and the race will commence at 3pm with the ducks competing for some fantastic prizes including a dinner, bed & breakfast package at The Stag!

Tug of War
The tournament starts at 2pm and each team of 4 must include at least 1 female. Round up your team today and enter online via www.stagontherivereashing.co.uk. The entry fee of £10 per team can be paid on arrival. All proceeds go to the Halow Project.
