Luxury B&B and Vineyard

Château Carbonneau is a family run vineyard and beautiful B&B located in Passac-sur-Dordogne near Bordeaux. The property was inherited by Wilfrid Franc de Ferrière in 1992, whose family bought the château in 1938.

With his Agricultural Engineering degree obtained in Bern, Switzerland, Wilfrid replanted the vineyard, modernised the winery and restored the château and the stunning 19th century greenhouse.

Wilfrid and his family continue to passionately craft excellent quality wines, two of which are named after his daughters and one paying tribute to the proud sequoia tree at the entrance to the château. All of the wines we exclusively feature from Château Carbonneau are of exceptional quality and as we import direct, they also represent great value.

We are proud to offer the following range of wines from the château…

Margot; Sauvignon Blanc
This vibrant light to medium bodied Sauvignon combines Old World elegance with New World fruit intensity.

Classique; Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot
A medium bodied red combining Merlot’s soft plum and violet fruit aromas with Cabernet’s blackcurrant and spice.

Séquoia; Merlot & Cabernet Franc
Ageing in oak barrels really adds an extra dimension to this wine. Rich robust fruit flavours of blackberry, damson and violet mingle with aromas of toasty cedar wood and a touch of vanilla.

Lulu Rosé; Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon
This Rosé has a beautiful iridescent pale salmon skin colour. It is light, crisp and elegant with mouthwatering fruit aromas.
