Get together with friends for a festive catch up with a difference or simply treat yourself to some valuable ‘you time’ and enjoy one of our festive workshops, held in the barn here at The Duke. Whether you’re wanting to learn a new craft skill or you fancy an evening of learning about local drink producers, make sure you book yourself a ticket before they sell out. All workshops include welcome refreshments, lunch/dinner, tools and equipment. Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Festive Willow Weaving
Tuesday 20th November
Spend the day learning the incredible craft and skill of willow weaving and create your very own festive willow reindeer or angel to take home and bring a touch of Christmas to your surroundings. An interactive workshop hosted by local willow weaver extraordinaire Judith Needham; followed by a delicious two-course set lunch.
Festive Food & Drink Pairing
Wednesday 28th November
Are you and your friends ‘foodies’ and love to enjoy a tipple or two? Spend the evening learning all there is to know about our local drink producers from the King of Drink, Joel Eastman, owner of Grape & Grain Tours. Joel will host this festive 3-course festive meal and drink-paired evening – an event not to be missed!
Christmas Wreath Making
Tuesday 11th December
Following a sell-out last year, Stella Doble of Stella Rose Flowers returns to The Duke again this year, with her popular festive wreath-making workshop. Enjoy a delicious two-course set lunch with your friends and learn how to create your very own festive wreath, to take home and add that extra spark of festive magic to your home this season.
Please note, it is important to us that our team have a well-deserved break and get to enjoy the festivities with their families and friends.
Therefore, we will be closed on Christmas Day.
